The editors for this project are a various lot. We were educated in different parts of the country and served on four different continents (counting one sub). Our service spans 40 years, starting in 1967.

What we have in common is that we all teach and travel. Pat raised her two kids on the road (those roads being in Pakistan, India, Canada, Hong Kong and Thailand); Aaron left Ouagadougou (the capital of Burkina Faso) after teaching as a Fulbright lecturer only to return later as a PCV in Togo; Jay so enjoyed his teaching in Kazakhstan that he extended his service for a year; and Jane, transformed by India, became an editor and travel writer so she could hit the road and write it off.

We have read and reread your stories. Each one reminds us why Peace Corps remains the most durable, flexible and optimistic diplomatic initiative ever created in the USA. It is an honor to share this project with all our contributors and supporters.
